What do I need to buy a firearm in Pennsylvania?+
A valid Pennsylvania driver's license or state ID showing your current address. You'll complete the federal Form 4473 in the shop, and we run the Pennsylvania Instant Check System (PICS) background check on the spot. Most approvals come back within minutes.
How old do I have to be?+
You must be 21 or older to purchase a handgun from a licensed dealer, and 18 or older for rifles and shotguns.
Do I need a permit or license to buy a gun in PA?+
No purchase permit is required in Pennsylvania. To carry a concealed firearm, you'll need a License to Carry Firearms (LTCF) from your county sheriff — we're happy to explain the application process.
How do FFL transfers work?+
If you buy a firearm online, the seller ships it to us. When it arrives, we contact you to come in, complete the Form 4473 and background check, and pick it up. Call ahead for our current transfer fee.
Can I sell you my used firearms?+
Yes — we buy, sell, and trade. Bring your firearm to the shop (unloaded, cased) and we'll evaluate it and make you a fair cash or trade offer on the spot.
How long does a suppressor (NFA) approval take?+
Approval times vary with ATF workload. Many electronically filed Form 4 applications are now approved in days to a few weeks, though some take longer. We'll help you file correctly the first time and keep you posted.
Do you sell firearms online?+
Firearms are sold in store only — federal law requires the transfer to happen face-to-face through a licensed dealer. Our apparel and merch are available online.
What happens if my background check is delayed?+
A delay isn't a denial. PICS sometimes needs additional time to complete a check. We'll hold the firearm for you and let you know the moment your check clears.
